Shizuoka tsuchi ningyoo 静岡土人形 clay folls from Shizuoka
Made after the Russo-Japanese War (1904–1905).
The craftsman had experience of the war and made many dolls with guns and weapons, also with a trumpet of the army.
This doll of a young man holds a trumpet, it is about 9 cm high. ラッパ持ち小僧
After the second world war they were not made any more.

The old woman said she had kept some ヤマメ Yamame trout in the gruel and it tasted unpleasant, so she could not give it to him. Kobo Daishi said if she would let the fish back into the river, they will come back to life. When the old woman threw the boiled 山女魚 Yamame into the river, they came back to life and swam away with the rice gruel still on their bodies. To prevent things from getting lost, people made offerings of 酒1樽 one barrel of sake rice wine and 赤飯 one dish of auspicious red rice to the Suijin 水神 Deity of Water. The barrels and rice were bound together strongly and placed into the hollow in the evening. Kuda-kitsune, kudagitsune クダ狐 or Kanko 管狐, "pipe fox"
is a creature supposedly employed by Japanese kitsune-tsukai, those who use foxes as spirit familiars. Its use is described in various books, as follows:
In the Sōzan Chomon Kishū (想山著聞奇集) the kuda-gitsune is described as a rat-sized fox which can be kept in a pipe.

yako 野狐 nogitsune, "fox in the field"
- quote -
Yako (野狐) is a spirit possession of foxes (kitsune), as told in Kyushu. To be possessed by it is called "yako-tsuki" (野狐憑き).
The yako, literally meaning field foxes, are also called nogitsune.

The appearance of a yako is almost completely consistent among all legends, and unlike real foxes, they are black or white, are slightly larger than a mouse, and smaller than a cat. The original yako is said to be invisible to the eye. In Hirado, Nagasaki Prefecture, they normally bring along a great crowd that walks with them, and thus there is the phrase "yako's thousand-fox company (ヤコの千匹連れ yako no senbiki zure)."

Koshu Tebori Insho refers to hand-engraved personal signature stamps produced in the Yamanashi Prefecture cities of Kofu and Fujiyoshida. Bringing together all of Yamanashi's engravers, dealers, and material producers, this local industry is unlike that found in any other prefecture.
One of the special characteristics of Koshu Tebori Insho seals is the designation of their materials as tsuge (box tree) wood, water buffalo horn, or crystal.
