Kikawada Michiho 黄川田美千穂 『貝むらさき』




Yaegaki hime is a figure from the puppet theater, later Kabuki. She was the daughter of the famous lord Uesugi Kenshin .

In Kabuki, she is daughter of Nagao Kenshin and falls in love with Minosaku, who looks like her fiance Takeda Katsuyori (who is in fact Katsuyori, who is alive).

- AKAHIME - Princess in a red robe
The standard costume for hime (princesses) is a furisode (long-sleeved kimono) with matching uchikake (long outer garment) embroidered with various patterns such as the flowers of the four seasons, the shapes of clouds, or fans scattered on running water, using gold and silver threads on red fabric for both layers of the costume. This costume set is called "Akahime," which has also become the common name of the princess role. Red color represents the cuteness and innocence of the princess.

princess Yaegaki. The princess is the heroine of a five-act drama named Honcho Nijushiko, the 24 models of filial piety. This historical drama was first performed in 1766 as a – Bunraku (文楽) – traditional Japanese puppet theater also called Ningyō jōruri.
.... At the end, possessed by the mysterious power of the helmet and guarded by two white foxes, Yaegaki-hime sets out to pursue her lover across the frozen Lake Suwa and flies off to Katsuyori. Katsuyori was saved, Takeda and Kenshin made peace and Princess Yaegaki and Katsuyori got married and live happily ever after.

In the tenth lunar month, to see the deity off, farmers prepare wappadango ワッパダンゴ ritual rice balls and offer them placed on a bale of newly harvested rice. The Yama no Kami is seated on a zabuton 座布団 cushion on the honored seat of the irori 囲炉裏 fire place. The deity is also offered green tea.
Then the head of the house says he is going to give the tea to the gaki 餓鬼 Hungry Demons and spills it at the veranda of the room. The food offerings are now eaten by the head of the household.

On the day of the boar in the 10th lunar month, people offer fresh 餅 mochi rice cakes on the Shelf to welcome it back. The mortar for making Mochi must be washed clean and kept outside until the morning so that the "Young Wild Boar" can touch it and make sure it is his own home.

山海の佐兵が畑で働き、日暮れになったので天秤棒を担ぎ帰路に着くと、頭の上を烏が「サヒョーグワ」と鳴きながら飛んでいった。佐兵はそのまま家に帰ったが、帰ってから畑に鍬を忘れてきたことに気づいた。取りに戻ろうとすると、庭で飼っている鶏が、「トッテコー」と鳴いた。佐兵はすぐに畑へ鍬を取りにもどったという。

伊達政宗が二本松城を攻めたとき、鶏石が鶏の鳴き声をしたので夜が開けたと思い兵を引き上げたといわれている。

shinmei sama しんめいさま - Kumano Shinmei 熊野神明
志賀家では熊野神明といっていた。あるとき、この家に近所のにわとりがはいったら、奥座敷で大変な物音がした。神明様が怒ったのだといい、にわとりを追い出して塩で家中を清めたという。今でもこの家では肉食せず、にわとりを飼わない。

目が不自由な志賀家のばあさんがしんめい祈祷することで眼病がなおり、身体が丈夫になった。それで御神体を譲り受け、自宅で拝むようになった。ばあさんの死後、神棚にあげておいたが、しんめいは歩くのが好きな神であるから、隣３軒ぐらいは歩かせねばならないといい、信仰したい人が借りに来て、今は北海道のあたりをまわっているという。これを熊の神明といっている。この家へにわとりが入ったら、奥座敷で物音がした。しんめいさまが怒ったのだという。

Eventually there was no successor to the family line to care for the Shrine. So Shinmei Sama called on Fudo for help and sent an old blind man to continue the worship.

「朝日さす夕日かがやく木のもとに　金の鶏埋けられて居り」という歌が城山の物語とともに伝えられている。掘り当てた人の話を聞かないので、未だに埋まっているかもしれない。夏から秋にかけて、天気の良い日が続くと、城山から火が出るといわれていて、その火は下から上へ上り、ある一点まで来るとぱらっと散ってしまうという。

大きな松が河和の北屋敷の海岸近くにあり、よく雷が落ちるので「雷松」と呼ばれていた。この木に雷がよく落ちるのは、根元に金の茶釜とか金の鶏が埋まっているからだといわれていた。今は枯れてしまってもうないという。

At the back of Mount Kokeizan there is a Mound of the Golden Rooster, where the animal has its grave.
But on the New Year's day, people can hear him calling.
If people suffer from hemorrhoids, they offer 赤飯のおにぎり rice balls made from red ritual rice, called tori no ko 鳥の子 "children of the bird" in the number of their own age - and will be cured.

The buildings within the Kokeizan Eihoji Temple complex are very interesting and combine both Chinese and Japanese architectural styles. Kokeizan Eihoji Temple is also ranked one of the best spots in Gifu Prefecture for momiji or autumn leave viewing.

平資盛が敗走するとき、愛する香器（黄金製鶏形香爐）を捨てる事ができず埋めた。以来七百余年の間、香爐の霊が附近の深山に現れ、哀れな声をもらして、世に出たいと訴えることが度々あった。

kinkei 金鶏
宝塚古墳とは黄金の鶏を埋めた故にこの名がついたとされ、松尾村が滅びる恐れのある場合は発掘して金鶏を取り出すべしと伝えられる。また、嫁泣き塚ともいい、金鶏が度々鳴いて、村に大事あると吉凶を伝える。ある者が発掘して金鶏を捕らえようとすると、金鶏は塚を出て飛び去った。

八百比丘尼という乙女は、十七の時草生の里に降りて人魚を食べることで不老の美貌を手に入れたが、孤独からか里に出なくなり、やがて故郷の草生で八百歳で死んだ。毎年元旦の未明には黄金の鶏が鳴くという。

The golden rooster in the possesion of a Rokubu pilgrim and a box with a mosquito net that could change its size according to the room, it was so precious to the family where he stayed over night at the end of the year, they killed him in a riverpool.
The family now had to suffer the curse of the Rokubu. Whenever they pounded mochi 餅 rice cakes, there was fresh blood in it, dripping down from the ceiling and from the leg of the Rokubu pilgrim hanging there.
Then came a golden rooster and ate all the rice from their storage. The rooster then took off with the eerie laughter of the Rokubu.
The family had even more misfortune and finally they built a grave for the Rokubu to appease his soul.

Once upon a time
a Rokubu pilgrim came to a house and asked for a lodging in the evening.
The Rokubu had a paulownia-wood box with a golden rooster in it and a special mosquite net, see above. On the next day some youngsters of the village attacked the Rokubu and the mosquito net came into the hands of the village elder, but the golden rooster flew away.
As a curse of the Rokubu the family now always had fresh blood when they tried to pound rice cakes.

昔上司南条という殿様が尼子晴久に攻められ、この地に逃げてきた。城の宝物である金の鶏を持っていたが、追っ手の追及が激しく、熊谷という谷川の滝壷に金の鶏を投げ込んだ。この渕を鶏渕または丸渕と呼ぶ。この金の鶏は今も渕の底に沈んでおり、毎年大晦日の夜高く鳴いて新年を告げると言う。鶏渕に石を投げ込むと雨が降るという。

【八重山神社のスサノオ伝説】
その昔、この岩窟に住み、悪行を働く怪神がいました。
名は－　鷲尾猛　－（わしおたける）－　金の鶏　－（きんのとり）にまたがって自在に宙を飛び里の住人たちを苦しめていました。
夜な夜な八重山の岩窟にある洞穴から這い出しては、人々の夢の中に現れ、サタンやデモンが迫りくる物語をしかけ、善良なる農民たちを不眠にさせました。
農耕を遅らせ、また、作物を実らなくさせるのが目的だったのです。
折からの水不足による飢饉も手伝って労働の意欲をそがれたタミはいよいよ働かなくなりムラの財政は傾きました。
入間というひとつの村の崩壊の危機はすぐそこに迫っていたのです。
そこに登場したのがスサノオノミコトです。
正確には健速須之男命（たけはやすさのおのみこと）オロチ退治ののち、 最愛のイナタヒメと 住まうための場所を探し求めてさまよっていたミコトの逆鱗に触れ、ワシオの神は徹底的に鎮められたのでした。
以来、集落に平和が訪れ、八重山には母神のイザナミノミコト、姉神のアマテラスオオミカミなど諸神がまつられました。

baboon 狒々に人身御供にされそうになった庄屋の娘を六部が助ける。再び旅に出た六部が狒々の毒により倒れていると、爺さんと婆さんが助けてくれ、地蔵さんにこもるように言われる。その家の息子が戻って爺さんと婆さんを殺し、六部にその罪を着せた。初めに助けられた娘が六部の絵姿の異変によってそれに気づき、打ち首にされそうになった六部を助けた。

峠を夫婦の六部が通りかかったときに妻が産気づいて赤子を産んだ。夫が人を頼んで戻ってみると母子ともに姿がなかった。その後世安楽を願って地蔵を建てた。悪戯で沢に転がされたときには夢枕に立って所在を告げた。

Rokubu Jizo no bachi 六部地蔵のバチ divine punishment
Once an old villager became very ill, but the cause was not known. When he asked a shaman he told him:
"Bring an offering of salt and clear water to the Rokubu Jizo every day!"
He did so for four, five days and - oh wonder - the man was healed.
People thought since the man had lost his wife in a traffic accident and collected a lot of insurance money to gamble around, this has been his divine punishment.

Once upon a time
a Rokubu pilgrim came along and collected a few thousand stones, taking three, four years. Then he made a statue of Jizo Bosatsu of about 4 meters high, and used the small stones to make made a lot of small Jizo statues and left the village. Since the village children came to play with them, eventually the villagers built a lattice fence around it.
Once on a winter day, looking closely, the Jizo was not there any more, and the footsteps of a small child were all over the place. Following the footsteps, they found the Jizo near a clear spring. The villagers were overjoyed with the new water source and called the spring
Jizo Kiyomizu 地蔵清水.
In his honor they built the temple 谷泉寺 Kokusen-Ji near the spring.

Once a Rokubu Pilgrim stayed over night. Since he carried some money, the villagers killed him over night with a hemp cord.
Before he died the pilgrim said "I will extinguish this family and turn it into Roku Jizo."
The family flourished for a short while but then the line was extinguished.

儀八郎の老母おさんがある時から急に敏捷になり生臭物を好むようになった。猫踊りのような踊りを見せることもあった。その頃鶏などが攫われる事件があったので，近所には恐ろしい噂が広がっていた。その頃のある日の夕方，六部が一人浜街道をやってくると杉並木の辺りで突然頭上から怪物が襲い掛かってきた。斬りつけると手応えがあったが，怪物は逃げ去ってしまった。その夜六部が儀八郎の家に宿を乞うと，急病人が出たということで一旦断わられたが納戸の一間を借りることができた。夜更けに隣室の物音で六部が目を醒まし，そっと窺うと子猫たちが遊び戯れており，犬程もある虎猫が後肢で立って行灯の油皿を舐めている。翌朝六部は主人に昨夜来の事情を話し，その夜二人で老女の部屋に飛び込んだ。ようやく怪物を仕留めてみると老母の姿であったが，朝日に照らしてみると骸はやはり古猫であることが判明した。この怪猫は松崎の猫渕に棲んだ古猫で，その死骸を埋めたのが猫石だと言われている。儀八郎はその後六部に金塊を贈り，六部はこれを観音像にした。その後観音像と由来書は儀八郎の子孫の家に届けられ，今も保存されている。

正保年間（1644～1648）の頃，同町の宿屋に一人の六部が泊まったが宿の主は六部の所持金に目がくらんで殺してしまった。数年後に弟分だという六部が来てその六部が泊まらなかったか尋ねたところ，主人は知らないと答えたが，灰の中から偶然見覚えのある笠の金具が出てきたので弟分の六部は全てを悟り，殺された友のために読経した。すると六部が幽霊となって現れ，この恨みに必ず報いる旨を告げ，弟分も呪法を結んで立ち去った。以後その宿屋には不幸が続いて子孫が絶え，その場所に住んだ者も皆不幸に見舞われたので幽霊屋敷，化物屋敷と呼ばれるようになった。

善海上人の不動尊像 Fudo Statue - yookai 妖怪 - rokubu no tatari 六部の祟り
｢上人塚｣と呼ばれる古碑が立っており，正面右に天和癸亥年善海上人と書かれている。当時(約３５０年前)この地方で勢力を振るっている豪族がおり，ある日部下が一人の六部(山伏)を捕らえてきた。主人は他国の間諜に間違いないとして十分に糾問せずこれを斬り捨て，死骸は屋敷の一隅に埋めさせた。ところがその後豪族の家には黒い雲が覆い，災害や不幸が相次いで一族は死に絶えてしまった。それから何代か土地の所有者が変ったがいずれも不慮の死を遂げた。現在残っている善海上人の不動尊像は誰の時代の建立か不明であるが，今でもここを｢上人塚｣，前の田を｢上人田｣と呼んで，年寄などは近付かないようにしている。

所有者が必ず死ぬと言う奇怪な土地がある。これは，昔旅に行き暮れた六部を泊め，その所持金に目がくらんでこれを殺害して屋敷の一隅に埋めてしまったためで，六部の怨霊がいつまでもその地の所有者に祟って夭折させたり作物を不毛にしたりしたのだと言う。その後六部の墓を建てて弔ったが，今日でもはっきりした所有者はなく荒れるに負かされている。

Momotaro　Legend in Misaki Town 三咲町の桃太郎伝説

「桃太郎伝説の地」に名乗り
「桃太郎と異名をとった、豪傑が此（こ）の地に住んでいた」。３年前、美咲町でそんな記述がある約９０年前の郷土資料が見つかった。町の人たちは「桃太郎伝説の地」として名乗りを上げ、伝説を生かした町おこしを繰り広げている。

３月下旬、
津山市西新町の「Ｃafe さくら」。「みさき桃太郎の会」の玉木陽一さん（６９）が「美咲町打穴中に鬼山という山がある。鬼が住みついて、村人から恐れられていた」と紙芝居を読み上げていた。題名は「元祖美咲桃太郎伝説」。「みんな幸せに暮らしたそうな」と読み終えると、集まった約２０人が拍手をした。
桃太郎と縁遠いと思っていた美咲町の人たちが、「伝説の地」であることを再認識したのは２０１４年の「発見」がきっかけだった。町が町史の編さん作業中、町の前身、旧三保村の村誌（１９２８年発行）に、同町打穴地区にある「鬼山」の地名の由来として、桃太郎伝説が書かれているのを確認した。
